Who we are
Booqs is a product of Venus Group L.L.C-FZ, Dubai, UAE ("Booqs", "we", "us"). Booqs is an AI booking agent that answers a business's customers on WhatsApp, books appointments and keeps client records organised.

Businesses and their customers
Booqs is used by businesses ("our customers") to talk to their customers. When you message a business that uses Booqs, that business decides why your information is used. We handle it on the business's behalf, to run bookings for them.
When a business signs up for Booqs, we handle the business owner's and team's details ourselves, to provide our service.
What we collect
From businesses: name, business name, email, phone and WhatsApp number, business details you add (services, prices, opening hours, FAQs), billing details handled by our payment provider, and how you use the dashboard.
From people who message a business: your name and WhatsApp number, the messages you send and receive, and booking details such as service, date and time.
From our website: what you send us through forms, and basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited.
How we use it
- To answer messages, make, move and cancel bookings, and send reminders you asked for.
- To hand a chat to the business's team when a person is needed.
- To show the business its calendar, chats and client list.
- To run, secure and improve Booqs, and to bill for it.
- To reply when you contact us.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use customers' chats for advertising.
How the AI assistant works
Messages are processed by an AI service to understand the request and write a reply. Booqs always says it is an AI assistant in its first message. It only helps with the business's bookings and questions, and passes anything else to a person.
Our AI providers process messages only to give us replies, under contracts that protect the data.
Booqs uses the WhatsApp Business Platform, provided by Meta. Messages sent through WhatsApp are also covered by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. Booqs only messages people who contacted the business or booked with it. We do not send marketing blasts.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run Booqs, such as hosting, the WhatsApp Business Platform, AI processing and payments, and only for that purpose. We may also share information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep information while the business uses Booqs and for as long as needed to provide the service, or as the law requires (for example invoices). When a business closes its account, we delete or anonymise its data within a reasonable time.
How we keep it safe
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and we use trusted providers. No system is perfect, but we work to protect your data and will act quickly if something goes wrong.
Your rights
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how it is used. If you messaged a business, you can ask that business, or ask us and we will pass it on.

Cookies
Our website only uses what it needs to work, such as remembering light or dark mode. We do not use advertising cookies.
Children
Booqs is made for businesses and is not meant for children. Businesses should not use Booqs to collect children's data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Booqs grows. We will change the date at the top, and tell businesses about important changes.
